What do sheep, guns, and money have to do with each other? Nothing yet, but these are the images spread around my table as I work out ideas for a few shows at the same time, and they look rather funny all together.
I've been dabbling in knitting, especially during a recent roadtrip, which resulted in a baby hat for my little niece. The linocut I'm working on needs to be kept a secret for a few weeks more, so enjoy this little hat as a distraction.
This was the start of a nearly life size linocut of a moth from Grenada. The sad story is that I cut too much out and wrecked it. It's ok, it wasn't the greatest print and sometimes a linocut has to crash and burn to keep me humble.
I won't be able to post the next two Mondays, so here's a bunch of photos through the process of this monkey linocut. I made this edition for a 2016 Year of the Monkey print exchange, which will be mailed off today. Enjoy!
