Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm taking a break from posting to enjoy the holidays. Plus, most of the work I'm doing these couple weeks is preparing for upcoming shows - which doesn't make for very interesting updates.

Upcoming 2-person exhibit

Oh look, I'm on the web at the Gainey Gallery's website.

From January 4 - February 10 at the Gainey Gallery I will be doing a two-person show with Jamin Rollin. Her "Reverto Ut Terra" will showcase her mix media works on paper and my "dis/array" will have some of my larger woodcuts.

The reception will be held on Sunday, January 23rd from 2:00pm-3:30pm. Mark your calendars!

Happy Lithography Weekend!

This weekend (Friday through Sunday) we're holding a lithography workshop at Kendall. I'm working on an aluminum plate litho and also helping/teaching how to process and print both litho stones & plates.

Here's my first litho plate for this weekend - etched but not printed yet. I'd like to get a second one finished soon too.

Here they are printed all together - I think it still needs something...

And here are a couple of them individually printed...

More Etchings In-Progress

7 out of 9 etchings are just about done, but 2 of them need another round in the acid bath before I print them.

Did the first etch of the main lines in my little series of nice 3 x 3 inch little etchings today.

(Here they are before & during the first etch. All the little plates taking over the acid bath looked funny. )

Now I'm experimenting with some different textures on each of the plates - here they're waiting for the second round in the acid. Hopefully I can give an update with a proof next time.
